Why should I switch supplier?
We all have to pay Gas and Electricity bills. We assume, like with all other everyday
services you have to pay for, you want the best deal available, whether that be the
cheapest on price or the one that best suits your particular personal requirements
or values.
Since May 1998 and May 1999, the gas and electricity markets, respectively, have been
deregulated allowing for competition amongst suppliers. There are now many gas and
electricity suppliers to choose from, each with their own prices for each area and
each having a number of different tariff packages. This competition has meant that
everyone can shop around for cheaper or more suitable options.
Millions of people have experienced the benefits of comparing the choices on prices
available. By taking a few minutes to use our free comparison service, you may find
that, you, like them, you are able to save a considerable amount of money on your
gas and electricity bills.
Alternatively, you may find a supplier who you would prefer to be with because of the
type of product or service they offer such as green energy.
Switch2help have made it easy to take advantage of the
benefits of switching. We do all the work in collecting every supplier.s prices and
tariff data and our calculator provides you with a straightforward comparison of
suppliers, showing you how much each will charge based on your location and current
usage.

Is changing my supplier easy?
Four simple steps.
Step 1. Enter your postcode and choose whether you wish to compare gas and/or electricity.
Step 2. Tell us who your current supplier is from the list we provide and how much you spend.
Step 3. You will then be provided with a results list of all suppliers, presented according
to the criteria chosen by you. For example, if you had requested to see suppliers
according to price, then you will be presented with a list of suppliers with the
cheapest at the top and the list in descending order according to price. Remember,
we show all suppliers so you can be confident you are seeing all available options
for you based on your circumstances.
From this list, if there is a particular supplier which interests you, you are able
to click on that supplier and get fuller details on the tariff you have chosen.
Step 4. Once you are satisfied with a particular supplier offer, then simply click on the
apply button and you will be asked to provide the details which will allow us to
proceed with the switch. We will then forward these details to the new supplier
who will arrange the switch. You need to do no more.
You will be contacted in 3-6 weeks by your new supplier to provide you with a supply
transfer date and to request a final meter read. Your new supplier will send this on
to your old supplier who will produce and send to you a final bill for the period up
to the supply transfer date.

phone book, directory enquiries or the web.
