The Bendrigg Trust is a residential activity centre located in beautiful countryside between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. It is one of few centres in the UK running holidays and courses for disabled people. Set in 15 acres of grounds, Bendrigg Lodge is fully equipped for disabled people including wheelchair users.
Groups and individuals come to Bendrigg for a week or weekend, from schools & colleges for children with special needs, homes, hostels, clubs, hospitals, community groups and disability organisations. All ages and abilities can take part in the activities.
Programmes are ‘tailor-made’ for each group and a wide variety of activities can be incorporated including: climbing, abseiling, canoeing, caving and sailing.
Bendrigg is open throughout the year qualified and experienced tutors are employed to deliver the activities.
